You can read my post “Small Town Crime” now at Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine’s Trace Evidence Blog. I recount some of my experiences living in small towns and share how that helped to inspire my newest short story “Mysterious Ways” in the July/August 2026 issue of Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine. Check out my post here, and grab a copy of the latest AHMM to read “Mysterious Ways” set in the fictional small town of Barley, PA.
