More than a month ago I began my quest to try and find a pair of leggings in a neutral tone. I was thinking it should have been relatively easy to track down a pair of leggings in a beige color or light tan color. Now, we’ve been doing our part to stay safe here and haven’t been shopping in physical stores, but you would think with the internet and online shopping it shouldn’t be that hard to find a pair of leggings that were a nude or beige color. Instead, I kept striking out.

So I decided I would simply make my own. I like leggings that have a pattern, but of course for leggings in a neutral shade I didn’t want anything too colorful or busy. I doodled some illustrations of cute cartoon owls, then set these owls in a cream color against a light tan background to create a cute print that wasn’t too loud or busy. The end result is the leggings you see me wearing above.

Here’s a closer view of my light tan owl leggings:

And just because, here’s a picture of me modeling them on the couch:

And, of course, if you’re like me and are looking for some fun tan or beige colored leggings and don’t feel like drawing your own owls you can pick up a pair of your very own tan owl leggings in my Threadless Artist Shop.
