These face shields are basically like personal, wearable sneeze guards. I know a lot of public places have recently installed plastic shields in areas like checkout stations that are similar to those previously only found protecting salad bar fixings. Side note: is anyone ever eating a salad bar again? Color me a pessimist, but this feels like the death of buffets in general to me.
Plastic face shields have been a standard piece of equipment for frontline medical workers for some time. And while these simple plasic face coverings might not be quite as high grade as the stuff that doctors and nurses are using in hospitals, they do offer an affordable way to shield your face.
These low-priced face shields (the Zazzle ones are $9.50) are not medical grade, but they’ll still provide protection for other frontline workds like librarians, childcare workers and hairdressers. Well, there’s something else I never expected to happen in 2020. I’m now describing hairdressers as frontline workers. Sadly, it’s true. Strange times.
Anyway, you can see the full lineup of face shields in my Zazzle store. Like all things Zazzle they can be customized with your own names and messages, and there are some that are ready to be customized with logos for employers who want to add a custom branded face shield to their employee uniform.
