I do apologize for all of the shameless self promotion, but in case you write or are interested in writing for young people and live anywhere near New Jersey, I wanted to let you know about a great conferences and a great program that I am lucky to be a part of. The New Jersey Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators will be holding their annual conference from June 3 through June 5 in Princeton, NJ. On Friday, June 3 I’ll join fellow young adult authors Keri Mikulski and Ellen Jensen Abbott in presenting an in-depth characterization workshop. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, literary agent Mary Kole of the Andrea Brown Literary Agency will be joining us as well. I’m really happy to be working with all these talented women, and...

»Posted by on Mar 22, 2011 in Guest Blog, Shameless Self Promotion | 4 comments

»Posted by on Feb 11, 2011 in Cool Stuff, Shameless Self Promotion | 14 comments

Anyway, I’m posting this because I need some help with my book trailer. Specifically I need some pictures of you, your friends, your kids, your pets or even local statues (I’m not that fussy) holding up a sign that reads “I am popular”. Yes, I know most normal people put together their book trailers using readily available stock photos, but I think it’s already been established that I am not exactly normal. Anyway if you would like your picture included in my book trailer please email it to me at alissagrosso@gmail.com. If you also include your name/website I’ll make sure you are mentioned...
