Ferocity Summer Blog Tour Road Trip: Cari’s Book Blog
I’m on the road today, and off to the great state of Texas. Well, not physically, but virtually with a stop over at Cari’s Book Blog. Of course, authors aren’t the only ones who enjoy a road trip. Here’s what Cari had to say about a recent road trip: Wow there are so many favorite literary road trips but if I had to pick just one I would say ALA 2011 in New Orleans. Fellow Texas bloggers Jen Bigheart from I Read Banned Books, Michelle Flores from Windowpane Memoirs, and Stephanie Pellegrin who will be published in the Dear Teen Me anthology this fall did the trip together. We stopped along the Texas Louisiana border to take pictures. We also had a lot of fun exploring the city but nothing tops fan girling over some of our favorite authors...

Giveaway Announcement
The release date for Ferocity Summer is getting closer, I’ve been busy working on putting together a blog tour. (By the way, I could still use a couple of blogs willing to host me for a guest post. If you’re interested, let me know.) I’ll have more on the blog tour later, which will also include a giveaway, but for now I wanted to tell you about a giveaway that is going on right now. If you would like to get your hands on a signed copy of Ferocity Summer, you have two options*. If you’re anywhere near me, you can come meet me at one of my local book signings and get your book autographed and personalized in person, but if you don’t live near me or don’t have the funds to be buying any books just now, there’s another...
A Recap and an Exciting Giveaway
Saturday was the big YA-Palooza event at the Clinton Book Shop here in Clinton, NJ. It was a blast. There was fun, food and plenty of picture taking. Here’s author Amy Holder taking a picture of me while I take a picture of her: I got to catch up with some author friends of mine, and we all learned a lot about each other thanks to the author trivia game we played. I think the audience had a fun time guessing as well. I managed to stump them with a few of my author facts. Though sadly, they knew right away that I was the author who got a hideous perm in the sixth grade and nearly drove into a tree when learning to drive. In my defense, it was a small tree and learning to drive on an old stick shift BMW is less than ideal. All our guessers got to win some...
Win Some Books
As usual, I am behind on getting the word out on these wonderful giveaways, but fear not there is still time to get your name in the metaphorical hat for your chance to win these prizes. Popular is a prize in both contests, but even if you already have a copy you should check out these giveaways since there’s some other fun books up for grabs. Enter by the end of the month to win a signed copy of Popular by yours truly or a copy of the fun zombie book Bad Taste in Boys by Carrie Harris from The Class of 2K11. This is a fabulous group of debut authors that I am proud to be a part of. Stay tuned because we are coming up on 11/11 and our super, big, deluxe end of the year giveaway. Speaking of debut authors, Terry Lynn Johnson is the author of the debut novel...
Author Copies
I feel a little bit bad for putting my local postal clerk to work hefting a 20-pound box of books to the counter on tax day no less, but it’s hard to feel too bad when I am now the proud owner of a whole box full of copies of my novel. Sure, most of these author copies are already earmarked for various giveaways, and will not be in my possession for very long, but it’s still nice to see, and of course if you want to try to win one of the books from this box, there are a few different opportunities on my giveaways page. I also want to tip you off to another giveaway, where you can win a copy of Popular. This one is being hosted by Apocalypsie, Jill Hathaway. In case you were wondering the Apocalypsies are a group of debut children’s and young...
