The other night I was at an event at my local Barnes & Noble book store, and if I was in the business of selling shoes I think I would have made a killing. My shoes were the star of the show.
I’m not especially good at being a girly girl. I’m not fond of shopping, I spend almost no time in salons and spas and I’ve never been overly troubled about breaking a nail or two. Apparently, though, I have a thing for shoes. It’s not even that I have a lot of shoes. I just happen to be pretty particular about the shoes I do have.
I have another author event this afternoon at the Barnes & Noble at the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, PA (sorry, just had to get in that little shameless self promotion). Some of the authors who were at Thursday night’s gig will be there as well. As a result, I had to put a lot of though into what I was going to where. They were hoping the shoes would make a return appearance, which meant something turquoise colored to match them.
However, I’m thinking today is more of a purple Doc Martens kind of day.
Now, as Cynthia pointed out, I have to figure out a way to get my shoes into my next book jacket photo . . .

Those ARE great shoes!
Thanks for starting the ball rolling with this iinshgt.
