In a little while, I’ll be heading out to Long Island to meet some fellow members of the Class of 2K11 for our first group in-person event. We’ll be doing a q & a panel at the Huntington Public Library also (in case you needed a little bribery) cupcakes and a henna artist will be on hand. I’m excited about the event, but also excited to be finally meeting some folks who I’ve only corresponded with online for the past year or so.
Our event today is only the beginning of our New York tour. Tuesday we’ll be spending time at BEA and when we’re not grabbing up all the good books available, we’ll be spreading the word about our own books and our wonderful group.
Wednesday we’ll be taking part in some library programs including a meet and greet at the NY Public Library’s teen center near Grand Central Station at 3 p.m. and a group book signing at Books of Wonder from 6 to 8 p.m.
Thursday I’ll have my own book signing at BEA. I’ll be at Table 8 in the autographing area from 10:30 to 11:30 signing copies of Popular. Then I’ll be off to a special event with the Class of 2K11 at Le Poisson Rouge. Then the group of us will be heading up to Larchmont, NY for another group signing at The Voracious Reader.
Somewhere in there I’ll have to find time to sleep, but if it takes me a little longer than normal to respond to emails, you’ll know why!
