At the start of this week I was down in Long Branch, NJ for the New Jersey Library Association’s annual conference. I was mostly wearing my day job library sales rep hat as opposed to my author hat, but it’s always nice to see some familiar library faces and meet some new ones.
Among the non-library faces I got to see was that of fellow Elevensie and KidLit Authors Club member Keri Mikulski, who up until a few days ago had only been a friend in the virtual sense.
Speaking of the virtual world, today I’m visiting (at least virtually) with the students over at Y.A. Love Blog. Click here to read their fun interview.
Finally, tomorrow will be an exciting day. I’m headed up to Hudson, NY to participate in the annual Hudson Children’s Book Festival. This is a day-long festival featuring more than a hundred authors of picture books on up to YA novels. At 10:30 I’ll be joining Jennifer R. Hubbard, Wendy Mass and Kristi Cook for a panel titled “Secrets, Troubles & Surprises: Stories Out of High School.” The remainder of the day I’ll be in the authors room signing books and hopefully getting the chance to meet some fellow readers. If you’ll be in the area, please stop by and say hi!

Have fun tomorrow!! Sounds like a great gathering to attend.
Can you say understatement? So cool! What’s cooking for next week? Oh, that’s right! Book Launch! YES!!!
You are busy! And what a great interview.
Have a great time tomorrow! I hope you connect with lots of readers.
That is a busy week!
I’m reading your book and loving it.
Have a great weekend.
Thanks, Paul! It was a lot of fun!
Natalie: Ha, ha. Yes, can’t wait to see you again at the launch party!
Cynthia: It was a great time, and the best part may have been the girl who had read my book and stopped by to tell me she thought it was “awesomely awesome.” I think she needs to get a job with Kirkus!
Thanks, Medeia!
Sounds like a blast! I’m so jealous that you, Kristi, and Jennifer get to meet each other in person! I wish I could be there to get all your books signed by you lovely ladies! Have fun.
