It’s been a busy but fun week for me. It started off Sunday at the Hughes branch of the Eastern Monroe Public Library in Stroudsburg, PA where I gave a talk on my writing journey and read a little bit of Popular. Monday was another library talk this one at the Towanda Public Library in Towanda, PA.
I want to thank the wonderful librarians who organized these events as well as all the people who came out to listen to me talk and read. I met so many wonderful people, and it wouldn’t surprise me if one day I see some of their names in Publisher’s Weekly or on the credits of a movie screen. You know who you are.
I had two traveling companions for these events, my boyfriend, moral support, photographer and all around assistant who definitely made my life much easier, and my dog, who mostly made my life less easier, but certainly kept things interesting.
Finally, I also did some interwebs traveling this week. I didn’t have to trek all the way up to Canada to be interviewed by the awesome and highly complimentary Richard Levangie for his 25 questions feature. Click here to read the interview.
Here are a few more pictures from this week’s travels:

I’m so excited for you Alissa. It must be so cool to have people listen while you talk about your book and give advice. As a published author, you’re the expert now! I have one question: How did you hook up the library visits? Did you do that yourself or did your publisher arrange it?
Thanks, June. I really had a great time talking at the libraries. These visits were both things that I had arranged myself since I knew the librarians personally – the one because I used to work at that library and the other because they are customers of mine in my day job.
