It’s hard to believe it’s already been four days since Christmas. I feel like I’m still getting caught up on things here. I had a great Christmas, and hope you did too!
I wound up with a lot of awesome loot, like the framed poster of my book cover that’s shown here. I suspected that my boyfriend whose perfect present-giving skills have already been documented had something up his sleeve after about the fifth time he asked for a high resolution image of my book cover (not much gets past me!) but I wasn’t sure quite what he was planning until I opened up this present on Christmas day. It’s already found a home on my bedroom wall. He also managed to track down the alarm clock that we both had as kids, but I’ll share that story for another post.
Some of the other goodies under the tree this year included books (of course!), a stylin’ new suitcase. a Jeopardy! calendar so that I can practice in case I need to pack up that stylin’ suitcase for a trip to Trebekistan and lots and lots of chocolate. In other words, it was a pretty sweet Christmas!
It was an almost white Christmas here in NJ. Instead it was a white December 26, which isn’t quite the same. Around these parts we only got a small amount of snow, barely enough to take the skis out Monday afternoon, though now it’s mostly melted away. Thankfully, my Christmas chocolate has not melted away, though I think I can hear it calling my name.

How sweet of him, that poster is beautiful! I love it when the men in our lives get us like that. I’m glad to hear you had such an awesome holiday. Bummer it wasn’t a snowy Christmas! The same thing happened here. Snowed like crazy the day AFTER.
That poster rocks! What a good boy.
Glad you had a great Christmas. Have a happy new year too!
